This piece was inspired by the female Olympic sprinters. They are superb physical specimens with both power and grace while still depicting the best of femininity. The Cheetah is the fastest land animal. In this sculpture, the two are connected in purpose and in capacity. The long legs of the Cheetah mirror the long legs of the sprinter and both can move at lightning speed.
